Wentworth Senior Living’s mission is:

To provide the seniors we serve with the support necessary to maintain their individual strengths and capacities; that they, along with their families and friends, have trust in our desire and ability to help them succeed; and that all members of our staff fully embrace the belief that they are greatly respected and appreciated for playing an important part in this effort.

Your financial contribution supports this mission, providing Wentworth Senior Living with stability and opportunities for growth. We are sustained by the generosity of local philanthropists whose donations have made support and residence possible for many Seacoast seniors.

There are several options for giving:

Planned Giving

A planned gift, or bequest, allows you to retain the use of your assets during your lifetime.

You can provide a sustainable future for WSL and its programs by listing our community in your will or revocable trust. You can also designate WSL as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, insurance policy, donor advised fund, or private foundation.

Annual Funds

  • General Gifts
    Cash donations to the WSL Gift Fund are unrestricted contributions that help offset regular, ongoing expenses, including those related to the financial support of residents who can no longer afford to support themselves.Unrestricted gifts help maintain the high quality of services that our residents have come to expect, and give WSL the ability to respond quickly to emerging opportunities.
  • Employee Development Fund
    We invest in our employees by continuously providing opportunities for professional growth and showing appreciation for their dedication to the organization. WSL’s Employee Development Fund covers the costs of training programs, conferences, and workshops, as well as recognition of achievements and team building.
  • Memorial Gifts
    A memorial gift is a wonderful way to pay tribute to a WSL resident while supporting our mission. Many people who opt to make a memorial gift find the following text helpful for an obituary write-up:In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial gift in honor of [name] to Wentworth Senior Living, 346 Pleasant Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801.
