PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – October 12, 2016 – Wentworth Senior Living (WSL), a nonprofit senior living community well-known in Portsmouth for more than 100 years, announced today its distinguished Medical Director, Dr. Magued Rizkalla, will host the New Hampshire Medical Directors Association (NHMDA) annual conference in his role as President of the organization. The conference will be attended by top medical directors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses and other thought leaders in the N.H. medical community.
“Dr. Rizkalla has achieved a long list of professional accomplishments throughout his career, including the two years he has spent with our organization,” said Bill Henson, President and CEO of WSL. “The skills he brings to our team and high-level of care he provides to our residents are unparalleled. Wentworth Senior Living is proud of the commitment he exhibits for the industry and our community in this leadership role for NHMDA.”
The recipient of the 2014 Vitals Patients’ Choice Award, Dr. Rizkalla is widely-recognized as one of the nation’s premier medical directors. The Vitals Patients’ Choice Award recognizes the top-performing doctors based on reviews and ratings from patients. Only five percent of the nation’s doctors were accorded this honor by their patients during 2014.
In his role as President of the NHMDA, Dr. Rizkalla has represented New Hampshire at the American Medical Directors Association Annual Conference, during which he and his colleagues helped define industry best practices on topics such as preventive medicine, palliative care and antibiotic usage.
“Wentworth Senior Living is a tremendous organization that cares deeply about its residents and the relationships they keep with doctors and nurses,” said Dr. Rizkalla. “As a leader for the NHMDA and a participant at the national level, I’m able to share the best practices we develop and learn from others in our field to even further elevate the capabilities of our team right here in Portsmouth.”
The NHMDA’s 7th Annual Conference for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care will be held on October 14 at the Wentworth By the Sea Country Club in Rye, N.H. In addition to Dr. Rizkalla, the day-long professional seminar will feature an educational program for leading physicians and health professionals.
